“EGP Extreme Guitar Project” celebra la presenza dell’italiano
Marco Cappelli nella scena musicale di Downtown New York. Cappelli aveva eseguito
il “The Book Of Heads” di John Zorn a New York nel 2002, e poi
aveva collaborato con molti musicisti statunitensi. Per “EGP” ha
chiesto ad alcuni di loro di scrivere nuove composizioni: il risultato è una “fotografia
musicale” di Downtown, che ha coinvolto artisti come Marc Ribot, Ikue
Mori, Elliott Sharp, Anthony Coleman, etc. |

“EGP Extreme Guitar Project” celebrates Italian Marco Cappelli’s
presence in New York’s Downtown music scene. Cappelli played John Zorn’s “The
Book Of Heads” in New York in 2002, and since then he collaborated with
several American musicians. For “EGP” he asked many of them to
write new compositions: the result is a “musical photograph” of
Downtown, that involved artists as Marc Ribot, Ikue Mori, Elliott Sharp, Anthony
Coleman, etc. |
